Elena Vakhnik is a journalist and filmmaker, creating documentaries and social impact stories for the platforms like Associated Press, Zoomin.tv, CGTN, Yahoo News, etc. In addition to researching, shooting, and editing documentaries for media, she is also an award-winning cinematographer. Her latest movie “Vereja” (2022) has been screened at numerous Film Festivals around the world. She holds a BA in Film Directing and a master’s degree in Journalism from Moscow State University.
